My story

I have always had a love of dogs and it grew into my passion. It started when I was a little girl, bringing all the stray dogs home and teaching them obedience cues and tricks. As I grew older, I attended many obedience classes of varying methodologies, with my dogs.

Much later on, I attended a dog adoption event only because I was early for an appointment, with no intention of adopting, as I had recently put one of my dogs down due to illness.

I met several Rescues and dogs, and then it happened, I met a dog named "Red" that "stole" my heart! A bit of a "wild girl", with a beautiful soft reddish coat. Well, it was all over for me, I couldn't stop thinking about "Red".  I contacted that Rescue as soon as I arrived home and told them I needed to get involved with their Rescue to help save dogs lives and be an advocate.

A few days later "Red" was living with me as my first foster. I trained her on basic obedience and showed her progress off to the Rescue. I later learned that, "Red" had been deemed unadoptable and was going to be put down. My heart sank, I couldn't bear that.

A month later the Rescue owner called and asked if I would like to adopt her, as I was able to do more for her than her previous fosters had. I cried and immediately said yes!! "Red" knew she wasn't leaving my home and so did I, we had picked each other. I saved her life. My first foster failure!

"Red" became "Alexa", and my dog "Apollo" and her became best friends. Alexa had a new life.

And this is how I became deeply involved with this  Rescue! I fostered dogs and all that goes along with taking care of them - vetting, learning diseases, administering meds, adoption events, application and interview process, pulling dogs from shelters, transport, home visits and marketing.

I placed many puppies and dogs into their right "furever" homes. With each adoption I cried, it was like loosing one of my own, as I loved each and every one of them.

I dedicate my becoming a Certified Dog Trainer and Cyndi'z Fabulous Mutts Dog Training LLC to my many experiences of 5 years in saving dog's lives with Linda Latalle and her staff at Magnificent Mutts and Meows Rescue. They are truly MAGNIFICENT!!

Hi!  I'm Cyndi,

My story

I have always had a love of dogs and it grew into my passion. It started when I was a little girl, bringing all the stray dogs home and teaching them obedience cues and tricks.

As I grew older, I attended many obedience classes with my dogs, of varying methodologies and styles.

One day I was early for an appointment and there happened to be an adoption event going on in the same strip center, so of course I went. I met several Rescues and dogs, and then it happened, I met a dog named "Red" that "stole" my heart! A bit of a "wild girl", with a beautiful soft red coat. Well, it was all over for me, I couldn't stop thinking about "Red". As soon as I arrived home, I called that Rescue and told them I wanted, no NEEDED, to get involved with their Rescue to help save dogs lives and be more of an advocate.

A few days later "Red" did a meet and greet with my dog "Apollo" and came to live with us as my first foster. I began training "Red" on basic obedience commands, and showed off her progress to the Rescue. I later learned that, "Red" had been deemed un-adoptable and was going to be put down. My heart sank, my worst fear, I couldn't bear that.

A month later the Rescue owner called and asked if I wanted to adopt her, as I was able to do more for her than her previous fosters had. I cried and immediately said yes!! "Red" knew she wasn't leaving my home , and so did I. We had picked each other. I saved her life and she was my first foster failure!

"Red" became "Alexa", and my dog "Apollo" and her became best friends. From that point on, Alexa had a new life of love, training and patience!

This is how I became deeply involved with Rescue, this Rescue! I fostered many dogs, some times litters of puppies along with young and older dogs at the same time and did all that comes along with fostering. I learned about vetting, diseases, vaccines and medications, attended adoption events, began the interview and adoption processes, pulling dogs from shelters, transport, home visits and marketing. I feel it was my destiny since I was a little girl, I was so happy!!!

I placed many puppies and dogs into their right "furever" homes and with each adoption I cried, it was loosing one of my own, as I loved each and every one of them.

I dedicate my becoming  a Certified Dog Trainer and my business, Cyndi'z Fabulous Mutts LLC, a Dog Training company to my 5 wonderful years of helping save dog's lives with Linda Latalle and her wonderful, loving and giving staff at Magnificent Mutts and Meows Rescue. They truly are MAGNIFICENT!!
